Miranda is 18 years old and graduated form Harris Academy High School, just west of Indianapolis. Miranda plans to attend IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis) in the Fall of 2010. Miranda is an only child to parents Bill and Norma and has been racing since she was 4-1/2 years old when she began racing quarter midgets.
Along with continuing her education after High School, Miranda also works full time as a waitress about 40 hours a week. She works out 2-3 times a week on her own to keep in top physical condition for racing. Miranda is knowledgable about the mechanics of the sport as she contributes to a majority of the weekly maintainence on the sprint car.
Miranda's goal is continue her 410 Sprintcar racing in 2010 with an eye on the Indy Racing Leagues Indy Lights series with an ultimate goal of a full time Indycar series ride.
